Rotary die-cutting

At Latrave, we specialise in manufacturing and supplying high-performance tapes for specialist applications, which often means creating more than traditional rolls of tape.

Die-cutting is traditionally seen as one of the most efficient ways of cutting standardised shapes onto liner backed pieces with the pattern pressing into the surface of the product to sever and outline the intended shape.

Unlike standard die-cutting, a rotary die is presented on a cylinder that an entire roll of adhesive film can be run through without stopping. This makes it especially suited to high-volume projects.

These cylindrical dies allow for continuous patterns to be cut into the film, as well as highly uniform shapes for items such as labels as the repeatability of the die means that every shape is the same. This results in a high standardisation of the finished product, and a much more efficient application.

Our rotary die cutting facilities can easily handle both single- and double-sided tapes, giving us the flexibility, we need to create products perfect for your application and converting the film efficiently, precisely, and quickly whether you’re looking for cleanly cut shapes, punch holes, perforation, tabs on a roll, or creasing.
